Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Feeding His Little Lambs

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8

Feeding Haiti ChildrenRecently there was a little boy that we met.  The Lord drew our attention to him because he had a very strange look that is not fitting for a small boy.  He had no expression on his face and would not laugh, looking dazed.  Upon further inspection we noticed he had a protruding stomach that was rock solid.  Children in Haiti can often be starving and have parasites.  The Doctor gave him a pill that eliminates this problem.  Immediately his stomach started softening.    We fed him and prayed for him.  The next day we went to see how he was doing.  The day before, when we met him, he had soars all around his mouth and on his face.  These soars were completely gone and his stomach was in much better condition.  The Doctor said, “That is not supposed to happen.  I have never seen soars like that heal so fast!” It was a miracle.  God had healed him overnight.  The Doctor said that it typically takes at least five days for soars like his to clear up.  The little boys face looked like an angel; so smooth and clean.
This incident led us to starting our new feeding program.  By faith we are now feeding the hungriest of the hungry children three times a week at our church community center.  We built a small kitchen.  The children line up and we hand them out bowls of rice.  They eat and then are fed the Word of God with a bible study.  So far we are feeding at least 100 children each day.  Praise God He has opened this door to feed His little lambs.  The little boy that was healed was at the feeding program last week.  He smiled at us for the first time.

And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise? Matthew 21:16
Luke 16 There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich mans table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores…
Matthew 25 Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? And the King will answer and say to them, Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

Loving Your Neighbor

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

water for HaitiSince the opening of the Bible Training Center we have never had our cistern filled to the top with water.  It has come close a few times for a brief period.  We’ve often found ourselves praying fervently for water.  Recently we decided to bless our neighbors, who live just outside of our gate and walls in tents, by sharing our water with them.  In the past we would give out buckets of water periodically whenever we could.  This time we ran a pipe that runs out to them in the tent city and built a shower.

One of our team members had this to say about what is happening every since we decided to love on our neighbors by sharing our water, “Some things are just amazing.  It sounds like we’re making this up but we’re not.  The Lord has been filling up our water cistern to the max every night.”

Jeremiah 14:22 Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O LORD our God? Therefore we will wait for You, Since You have made all these.
