Happy ending – this wounded man survived and is well.
Now for the story.
The Lord put it on the heart of one of our supporters to buy a bulletproof vest for a security guard in Haiti.
We didn’t ask him to do this; he just felt led by the Lord to do it. So, he did a bunch of research and found the best bulletproof vest. He bought it and had it shipped to Haiti.
Our security guard was very thankful to get it. He loves helping the police when he can, and they often come under fire from gangs.
Shortly after getting it, he went out with his security partner one night. They both came under fire and both got hit. The bullets went into his partner, while the others bounced off his new vest.
We are once again amazed, awed, and blessed that someone listened to what God told them to do. The vest arrived just in time and saved our security guard’s life. Thankfully, his partner’s bullets landed in places that the doctors could get them out. God protected them both.
This is a huge reminder to us; the next time the Lord tells you to do something, do it! It doesn’t matter how small or big the task is. It very well could save someone’s life.
