[symple_highlight color=”green”] God commands us to. [/symple_highlight]

The primary reason we should support Israel is because the God of the bible commands us to.  It says in Psalm 122 to ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.  Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.’  For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, ‘Peace be within you.’  Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.

[symple_highlight color=”green”]God blesses those who support Israel. [/symple_highlight]

In Genesis 12:3, speaking of Israel, the bible says that “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

[symple_highlight color=”green”]God curses those who go against Israel. [/symple_highlight]

In Isaiah 60:12 the bible warns us that “the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly ruined.”

[symple_highlight color=”green”]We have been blessed because of Israel. [/symple_highlight]

Through Israel the promises and covenants were given. Through them came the law, the prophets, and the Messiah who has opened up access to God for all, and through the Jewish apostles the gospel first went to the nations. (Romans 9:4-5)

[symple_highlight color=”green”]Because God’s promise to bring them back to their land has been fulfilled. [/symple_highlight]

“‘I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;…I will plant them upon their land and they shall never again be plucked up out of the land which I have given them.’ says the Lord your God.” (Amos 8:14-15).  “I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all sides and bring them to their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all.” (Ezekiel 37:21-22)

[symple_highlight color=”green”]We are called by God to help Israel. [/symple_highlight]

In Isaiah Chapter 40 God speaks: “Comfort, comfort my people says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that here iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.” (Isaiah 40:1-2)

[symple_highlight color=”green”]As Christian’s we are called to comfort the Jewish people. [/symple_highlight]

The leaders of the nations are prophesied and called to help the nation of Israel: “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. Kings shall be your foster fathers and their queens your nursing mothers.’” (Isaiah 49:22-23)
