Hurricane Isaac has passed over Haiti. Pastor Brian, the students at the Bible Training Center, staff and neighbors all made it through. Brian said that it was the biggest storm he has ever been in. The winds got up and over 65 miles per hour. The church on the hill, which had been fortified by the hands of mission teams and Haitians stood firm. Many other structures were torn apart. The church was a refuge to many of the people who did not have any fortifications on their tents. It was packed all night, standing room only while the winds, debris and rain poured down. Neighbors also came into the Bible Training Center for shelter.
