Port au Prince, Haiti –

In spite of the continued unrest from intermittent food and fuel shortages, Cross to Light continues to move toward sustainability for its Haiti operations and in support of the Haiti Bible Teaching churches.

Here’s a few examples of how the Haiti Bible Training Center, Campus and Churches are sustainable in Haiti:

God Powered Teaching

Wind generator provides a large portion of the Haiti Bible Training Center’s electricity. The electricity used to be intermittent because the Haiti electric company’s electricity goes on and off throughout the day. Now, there is zero interupption which preserves food and helps to power the online teaching for the students. (show a clip of the teaching).

God Given Brain Food

We have chickens that supply delicious eggs for the students, staff and mission teams. We are working toward equipping each church plant with chickens, chicken coup and a supply of chicken food through our Haiti Relief food container deliveries.

God Grown Fruit

The Haiti Bible Training Center and Campus are filled with fruitful trees including banana, mango, coconut and avacodo.

Jesus’s Favorite Breakfast

We are so blessed by all of the volunteers that come out and apply their God given gifts and trades to improving our operations. For example, a mission team member came out and donated his talent, time and equipment to set up the most amazing talapia tank possibly on the planet. The water is crystal clear and the fish are happy. So is taco tuesday time!

Manna

Another example of the body of Christ contributing is a pastor and his wife that have made it their responsibility to bring in bread ovens and grain to enable our operations and the churches with bread. This is a delicious luxury in Haiti as the primary food available there is beans and rice. The bread is a reminder to the churches that God is sweet and He loves them and provides exceedingly abundantly.

Thank you again for your prayers and support! As we continue to work toward an efficient and sustainable operation we are continually so blessed by the body of Christ coming together and contributing in such amazing ways.
