Haiti, the poorest country in the Americas just recieved their first cases of the Corona Virus. The country is under lock down as the President Jovenel Moise declared a state of emergency and has shut down all airports, schools and ports. Health workers are very concerned that they will not be allowed into the country nor medical supplies to aid the dense population of 11 million people.
Tiny Cross to Light praises our Almighty God as we just cleared a container full of food relief aid. Our 10 church plants that are situated throughout the country received these emergency food supplies. We are praying that the Lord would stretch the 49,000 pounds of food that He has allowed us to bring in at such a time as this.
The Haiti Bible Training Center continues to provide full scholarship and teaching to the pastors in training. We implemented remote teaching about six months ago. Senior pastors from the US have been able to teach the students through the bible remotely. We are so thankful for this as it enables the students to continue to learn even under lock down conditions. Both students and staff are remaining at the Bible Training Center for protection at this time.
Please pray for our poorest neighboring country, Haiti, as they come under this viral attack. Pray for the church plants, students and staff. That God would give them incredible wisdom and peace on how to navigate this difficult situation.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
