Today the team went down to Sderot.  This is the Israeli city closest to the Gaza.  The citizens of this poor town live under constant fear of a “Qassam” raining down on them.

A Qassam is a rocket fired by the Palastinian or Hamas from the Gaza area into Southern Israel.

Today was no acception as yesterday 70 rockets were launched at Southern Israel.

In spite of this terror, our team headed down to Sderot this morning, praying for the Lord’s divine protection.

We arrived at Hope for Sderot in the morning and was greeted by Stewart Little, the Founder of the non-profit organization that helps the poorest of the poor Jewish citizens of Sderot.

We unloaded much needed supplies, had some sweet fellowship and got to work helping prepare for Purim, a Jewish Holiday that Stewart likes to support by giving out food and having fun games for the children.

We helped in the food pantry warehouse packing supplies to be handed out later and painted some of the games for the children of Sderot.

The local news was so amazed that some American citizens would venture out in spite of  the rocket attack and help little Sderot that they came and did a full story about it while we were there.

God wanted to promote Hope for Sderot, and remind us all to help our brothers and sisters in need. We can be His hands and feet. We can help hold up the arms of Moses. God loves team work.  He loves His body working together.

Was God faithful to protect us while we were blessing our brother in Christ and sharing the gospel with the people of Sderot?  Yes He was!  In fact, we found out later that while we were there there was four rockets fired at Sderot that “somehow” got diverted.

Our God reigns.  He is in control.  If you are walking in His will He will direct your path.  He will go before you and He will be your rear guard.

Perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.
