Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

Missing Something?

Do you ever wish you could be closer to God so you could know the right decisions and feel confident in your life? Do you ever feel like you’re missing something but just aren’t sure what it is?

Psalm 100:4 is the recipe for gaining confidence when life is shaky and uncertain and becoming more of the person God designed you to be.

When you praise Him, you “enter His gates”. This means that you immediately enter into His presence. This is when the magic happens. In response to your praise He will minister to you in ways you can’t imagine.

Give it a try! It’s easy to be thankful on Thanksgiving, but try making this a daily habit. Think of things you are thankful for. As you do this, you will feel His presence and hear Him speak to your heart. You’ll feel your soul lift. You’ll feel the weight of your burdens become lighter.

This works exceptionally well during trials. In a trial, your mind wants to focus on what went wrong. Do the opposite and praise God for the trial, knowing by faith that He will work it together for good – somehow. You don’t have to understand how or worry about it. All you have to do is thank Him, then watch what He does through the trial as you give Him praise. When you come through the other side, you’ll recognize even more how He really did come through – again.

Praise Him in the morning, praise Him at noon, praise Him at night, praise Him in the trial, and praise Him in the victories. You’ll be so glad that you did, and He will change you more and more into the person you were designed to be.
