Matthew 18
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Jesus knew a little something about becoming a little child. Unlike the rest of us who came into being at conception, was born and then grew up, Jesus existed before He became a baby. He chose beforehand to become one of us. The bible says that He is the image of the invisible God. The fact that Jesus the Christ came and became a baby on purpose is unbelievable.

In John Chapter 1 it says that, “in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

To have the strength of the universe in the palm of your hand and to choose to then become a helpless, dependent baby is remarkable. To purposefully place your life into the hands of your creation and be that vulnerable would be a difficult thing to do. In addition, Jesus could have chosen any family anywhere on the planet to be born into.  Of all the families to choose from, He chose Joseph and Mary, a poor Israelite family.  His first crib was an animal feeding trough.  Jesus chose to dwell among us in an incredibly humble way. He didn’t rule over us, He didn’t force us into subjection. Instead He quietly went about showing His love to us as He lived and walked among us. The Creator of the universe, the Master of all, the I AM, came to serve and show us who God is. At any moment He could of rained fire down from heaven on us. But He didn’t.

Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

He chose, purposefully to conquer death for us because He knew we couldn’t. He took care of the breach that separated us from God. He took back the title deed that had been ripped off by satan in the garden. He paid the price that we could never pay. And now we have direct access to this magnificent God at any moment after we have let Him into our hearts and lives to be our Lord and Savior. He becomes our Abba Father and meets and exceeds our every need. He is our everything. His presence in our lives is the very best present we could ever receive.

Please share this with someone that hasn’t yet received this gift. God has been waiting for them to receive it. It will be the very best present they have ever gotten gaurenteed!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
