The Israel Palestine conflict explained.
I’m here with my good buddy, Charles Watson. We’re at the Haiti Bible Training Center, and we just got back from Israel—a trip of a lifetime.
We were scheduled for over a year to go to Israel. The day that we were leaving, October 7th, Israel declared war.
We had an amazing trip. It was awesome. I want to bring some clarity to the Israel-Palestinian issue right now. There’s so much confusion on every newsfeed.
Let me just really briefly tell you what the truth is. The Jewish people are a special people. There’s a reason the enemy, the devil, wants to kill the Jewish people.
Why? Because Yeshua, Jesus is Jewish. He’s from the lion of the tribe of Judah. What does that mean? He’s the one. He’s the only one. Jesus said I’m the way, the truth, and the life. No man goes to the Father except through Me. The only way anybody could ever be saved is through Yeshua Messiah.
And He is Jewish. He was born in Bethlehem. He was raised in Nazareth. He died in Jerusalem. He rose again in Jerusalem.
The Jewish people are very special. They’re very special there. God says that they will be a blessing to the nations. Jews win most Nobel Peace prizes. They’re very smart. They’re very special people to the world.
The whole Palestinian issue boils down to this. Abraham was the father of the Jewish people. God promised and preached the gospel to Abraham and said to Abraham, through your seed, singular, the whole world will be blessed. Abraham believed in God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
He was a friend of God. What does that mean? The blessing through your seed? That means Abraham, one of your descendants, the seed from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, will receive the blessing. Isaac was the promised child.
There was another child named Ishmael. But what was that? That was an illegitimate child because Abraham became impatient. Sarah said, Hey, why don’t you go in with my maidservant Hagar and help God out? How many times do we know that we ever tried to help God out? It never works out well. So Abraham went with Hagar and had Ishmael. That wasn’t the promised child. The promised child came through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
God still loves Ishmael; God so loves the world.
But the promise, the Messiah, was going to come through Isaac. So what happened was God came to Abraham and said, Abraham, I want you to go to the north in Lebanon. Look to the south in Egypt, the Nile River, and go to the east where the Euphrates runs through Iraq, all the way to the Mediterranean. As far as your eye can see, I give you this land. You and your descendants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and their descendants and their descendants.
This is the only piece of land in history that God gave to somebody. God says I give it to you as an everlasting covenant. He says, If you can still see the sun, the moon, and the stars, then my agreement with you still exists. We’re here in Haiti. I look up; there’s the sun. It still exists.
So, what’s the big conflict between the Palestinians and the Jews in the promised land? It boils down to this one thing. Satan knows that if he can get the land that God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for an everlasting covenant if he can get that land, then he will make God a liar.
But the Bible says, Let God be true and every man a liar. Right? This was his plan. When Moses was getting ready to hand the ball over to Joshua to go into the promised Land, God said, Look, if you guys are faithful to me and keep my covenants and keep my commandments, then you’ll be blessed in the land.
But if you don’t, then I will scatter you among the nations, and I’ll make your land desolate. We know the history of the Jews just like we know the history of man. We’ve all sinned. We’ve all fallen short of the glory of God.
What happened was in 135 A.D., there was an emperor named Hadrian. Hadrian was like Hitler. He hated the Jews, was anti-Semitic, and hated them. He was a Roman emperor. Rome controlled the world. What he did was throw the Jews out of Israel and provoke the Jews; he knew that the Jewish hero was King David. If you look at the Israeli flag, there is a star of David, and in the Bible days in the book of Samuel, David was always fighting the Philistines. Goliath was a champion of the Philistines.
So not only did he throw the Jews out of the land, but to provoke them, he changed the name of Israel to Palestine, which is Latin for Philistines. He changed the name of Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people. He changed the name after the Philistines because he knew that David’s number one enemy was the Philistines. And that was what happened. Now you have all this confusion.
Nebuchadnezzar entered the Southern Kingdom and smashed Solomon’s Temple in 586 B.C. It’s a historical fact. Go to the London Museum. Even if you don’t believe the Bible, Solomon’s Temple existed in 586 B.C. Islam didn’t start until 600 A.D..1100 years later.
In 586 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar smashed the temple and took God’s people into Babylon for 70 years. Then he started to go after the other nations, and at the end of Jeremiah, you’ll see that he went after the Philistines. The Philistines were a sea people. They came from the island of Crete and settled on the five Philistine cities in the Mediterranean: Gaza, Gath, Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Akron. But at the end of Jeremiah, that’s the last mention of the Philistines.
They were gone until Hadrian 135 A.D. decided to change the name of Israel to Palestine, which is Latin for Philistine, to provoke the Jews. Now, what satan does is propagate this lie through the U.N. and in the world. Remember, the god of this age is a liar.
Jesus said of satan, you’re a liar, and you’re the father of lies. And when you speak, you cannot tell the truth. So what he tells the world is this land belongs to the Palestinians. This is the Palestinian’s homeland.
It’s interesting. They never allow them to do any archeology digging. Because every time they do, they find the history of the Jewish nation. Back to 1400 B.C., when Joshua led them into the promised Land, they found the history of the Jewish nation, the promised land, the land flowing with milk and honey that God promised it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
There are no Palestinian people there. It’s a made-up nation. I’ve been to the Jewish quarter. I’ve been to the Muslim quarter, and I talked to them. I go, where are you from? They tell me my grandma is from Egypt. Okay, so you’re Egyptian. What about you? My family’s from Libya. Okay, You’re from Libya. How about you? Arab nations surround Israel.
They send people in over the border, and they say, call yourself a Palestinian. Why? So they can get the land. If they get the land, if satan can get that land, he makes God a liar because God gave it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
But the Bible says, let God be true and every man a liar.
What you have to understand is that it’s the land that God gave to the Jewish people.
And you never want to have anything to do – in your mind or a conversation or your school or anywhere in a protest – about dividing up that land and giving it to anybody other than the Jews whom God gave it to Abraham and his descendants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob forever.
Why? The Bible says in Joel, chapter three, that God will gather all nations down to the valley of Jehoshaphat, and He will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of his children, Israel, who they scattered among the nations and divided up My land.
Suppose you have anything, any conversation, any vote in the UN, any vote in your school to divide the land of Israel, that God, the Creator of the universe, gave to His holy people, His chosen people, the apple of His eye, the Jewish people. In that case, you’re going to have a court date. You will have a court date, and you will stand before God, and you’re going to explain to Him why you tried to divide up His land that He gave to His descendants.
You don’t ever want to do that. If you’ve done that, the only way to avoid that court date is to call on the name of Yeshua and let the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanse you from your sin.
Get your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and you can become a new creation in Christ Jesus.
I wanted to clear that up. We want to pray for the peace of Jerusalem because God says if you pray for the peace of Jerusalem, you will prosper, and you want to bless Israel. Why? Because He says, I will bless those who bless Israel.
You want to be blessed in your family. Do you know what we do at our compounds here in Haiti? We fly Israeli flags. People go, are you guys some synagogue? We go, No, we love Israel, and we love God’s chosen people because that’s where the Messiah came from. That’s where he died. That’s where he rose again.
And that’s Zachariah 14. That’s where it says He’s returning to rule and reign for a thousand years. So be on the right side of history and start blessing the Jews and pray for the Palestinians who’ve been deceived and pray that God would open their eyes and that they can get saved and be with us in heaven.
