We are blessed and privileged to witness unity in the body of Christ coming together to serve in Haiti this New Years week. There are people and teams from the east and west coasts coming together to wrap their proverbial arms around the people of Haiti.
Cross to Light is hosting a team from the east coast, led by Dave Hansen, the Pastor of Calvary Chapel Louisa, various church teams from the west coast, some led by James Flores and a team from Calvary Chapel Open Door from Anaheim, California.
Their week serving in Haiti consists of teaching the Bible Training Center students, preaching the gospel in various locations and loving on children, orphans and women with a VBS and ladies teachings.
Once again, Cross to Light has the privilege to facilitate this act of God; people spending their hard earned holiday money and time off of work not for themselves, but for others. Instead of the usual holiday festivities, these teams are taking in beans and rice and Jesus Christ as they hit the highways and byways of Haiti. As much as we all enjoy time off and holiday activities and celebrations, it is impressive to witness a group of believers, from different churches, coming together to serve the Lord in this way, at this time. We are inspired.
Please take a moment and lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ serving in Haiti this week; they need our prayer support!
