“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.” Matthew 17:13

The summer is under way and teams from all over the country are coming out to be a part of what our Lord, Jesus Christ is doing in and through the people of Haiti.  This is truly a double blessing as His Spirit is pouring out in Haiti, He is also working upon teams that come in to help and then impacting each mission team member as they go back home.  Our prayer is that the work He does in each persons heart, the spark that is started, would go off like fireworks this summer to impact Haiti and the United States in a new fresh way.  The Lord is using Haiti in a mighty way – and we are so thankful to be along for the ride!

Mark 10:15 “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

A mission team from Washington state is currently at the Haiti Bible Training Center.  They have helped with the garden there and among other outreach efforts, have taken a bunch of God’s love and bible studies over to a couple orphanages.  The kids love the attention, being washed in the Word, loved on, played with and songs sung to.

Isaiah 43:20 I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen.

Last week a team from Calvary Chapel Flower Mound came out. Pastor Jon Bell taught the students through a book of the bible while his team was busy with all kinds of various outreach. While they were there, a cistern that we built along side one of our church plants in Caradet was completed. This is about one mile from the Haiti Bible Training Center and is situated within a large tent city. This tent city has had a lot of water issues and difficulty. Finally, they have a cistern that collects water for them to use freely. Right at the moment the cistern was completed, the team and Pastor Brian were saying now all they needed was a water truck to come by and fill it up for the people. Guess what – right after the words were out of their mouths – you guessed it – a water truck came driving by! They stopped it and were able to get the cistern filled.
