God bless you guys. It’s Pastor Brian from the Haiti Bible Training Center. I just want to encourage you guys right now. The nation is in a time of crisis. Every nation, every country, right now is experiencing this crisis that we have with this corona virus.
I want to look at a passage of scripture. God told us what to do in this situation. I love it because in 2 Chronicles, Chapter 6;
“When there is famine in the land, pestilence; when their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple: then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men), that they may fear You, to walk in Your ways as long as they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.
I love this, what God says is this. When a plague comes, or when famine comes, or when sickness comes, he says, Whoever it is, God is not a respector of persons, and he says, listen, Whoever comes to me, whoever comes boldly to the throne room of grace to obtain mercy and help in the time of need. God says, My ear will be attentive to that person and he says, Whatever person it is when they pray, or make supplication he says what I want them to do is I want them to know their own burden, and I want them to know their own grief.
And he says the same thing in Second Chronicles 7, 14. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and turn from their wicked ways, that God says, I’ll hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land. It’s the same thing. So what God wants us to do we need to do individually. You need to examine yourself.
You know the Bible says to sanctify yourself for tomorrow the Lord will do great things.
He wants us to look at our own life. I know with myself, and my family now, I’m just asking God, What do I need to change? What have I been focusing on that are idols in my life? I love that, because when we do that, when we humble ourselves before God, the Bible says the eyes of the Lord go to and fro throughout the whole Earth, looking to show himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to him.
A lot of times what can happen in this world, what happens to me is I start thinking about other things, different gods.
It could be the god of the intellect or these different gods that are set up to take the place of the true and living God. God looks for whoever will humble themselves, whoever will realize “Lord, I need to change. I want to get things right.” That’s what we want to do and that’s what God wants right now. God says that if you’ll humble yourself, and turn from those things and turn to Him that He will hear from heaven and forgive your sin and heal our land.
Do you know that if there’s even one or two of you that are listening and agree with me on this, the bible says, “If two or three agree on Earth, it shall be done.” Listen, God will say, “You know what, I’m gonna stop this.”
This is a situation that only God can stop. God says that he’ll heal our land, and I believe that this is going to be the most amazing time because in a short time this will be over. But what’s going to happen? It has a potential to bring many people to evaluate and examine their lives to say, “Lord I want to seek You first. I want put you first, Lord. I want you to be the Lord of my life.” If we can do that, then everything else would be great because God says, “If you seek first the kingdom of God, then all these other things will be added unto you.”
So be encouraged during this time. Take this time to really seek the Lord. Pray to God. Ask God for help. Pray for others around you and ask the Lord to heal our land. Look for opportunities to share the good news with people that are hurting. God bless you and keep praying in Jesus’ name amen.
