Pastor Jonas Bievenue
Jonas has been the pastor of the bible teaching church in Artibonite, Haiti since his graduation from the Cross to Light Haiti Bible Training Center in 2012. Artibonite is situated North of Port au Prince and has an overall population of over 1.7 million. The specific area that Jonas is situated in, Petit riviere de l’artibonite, has been historically rooted in voodoo and his church is the only one that teaches through the bible in that province.
Jonas prayed fervently about where God wanted him to start a church after he completed his pastoral training. God told him to go back to his home town. He was faithful and started a home group. He now has a solid leadership team who minister to children and adults every week with bible studies.
During the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, pastor Jonas was one of the first volunteers to come out with teams to help. He is always happy to lend a hand. He is an excellent servant Shepherd example to us all.

BTC Water
Thanks to a team from Cornerstone Calvary Chapel in New Jersey, the Haiti Bible Training Center has a new water filtration system. This water tank system gets filled with clean water and is then double filtered, providing the students and teams at the BTC with an abundance of fresh, clean drinking water. Second Impressions Fundraising
Lake Forest, CA - Second Impressions, a Resale for a Cause - Pop-up, garage sale style local clothing bank to help the homeless, the poor and those in need, did a large garage sale fundraiser to help the church plants in Haiti. They gathered up all sorts of precious and designer articles for display, a group of volunteer friends and baked up some yummy treats to draw people in. Children’s Ministry
These are the church kids who come everyday to the house. We teach them bible study and feed them food. We have 25 kids in this program. Besides this children's ministry, the church is growing. We now have 4 services weekly. On March 22 we will have the anniversary of the church. We will have a big open air crusade in the preceding week.
