Site number one water drilling was a fine mess! It was a huge blessing to see Jimmy and Steve getting dirty doing a fantastic job drilling through rock that was described as something like solid granite. The drilling stopped after reaching 200 feet due to tough rock and time constraints and will resume shortly to complete the 300 foot capacity. Water is believed to have already been obtained but we want to max out the amount of water accessed and so will not cap it off until the full 300 has been drilled. A six inch diamond bit drill has been offered to us at an incredibly good price of $2000; it is a $30k dollar drill bit and will help cut the solid rock like butter. As Ecclesiastes puts it, “If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success.” We are working toward purchasing the diamond drill bit along with restocking the other drill items needed to finish the HBTC drilling as well as drilling at the new church campus. The drill team has claimed the phrase, “diamonds are a man’s best friend”.
